PC wave tile is a kind of polycarbonate wave board with strong toughness. It has the properties of impact resistance, light transmission, clarity, light weight, weather resistance and fire resistance.

Correct installation of PC wave board

1、 Wave type selection:

1. If PC wave board is used as the lighting belt, the specification and model of PC wave board and color steel plate are similar.

2. If PC wave plate is used as skylight, the specification and model of PC wave plate shall be consistent with that of color steel plate.

2、 Purlin span

① If the purlin span is too large, it may cause the PC wave plate to warp and deform, causing water leakage.

② It is recommended that the thickness should be more than 1.2mm.

3、 Lap joint

1. Side lap ordinary color plate

It is suggested that the PC wave plate should be laid on the color steel tile, and the pressure strip should be added on the PC wave plate. The pressure strip can be made of stainless steel, aluminum alloy or color steel plate. The width of the batten is about 30mm, the longitudinal rib is better, and the thickness is ≥ 0.5mm. It is better to add a supporting wave tray at the lap joint.

2. Sandwich composite wave board

If it is overlapped with the sandwich composite wave board, a supporting wave holder shall be added at the screw fixing position to better fix the PC daylighting board.

3. Sandwich plate

If the PC wave plate is overlapped with the sandwich plate, dig out the foam at the overlap of the sandwich plate, and turn the reverse side of the PC trapezoidal wave into the front side.

4. Longitudinal lap

Generally, the longitudinal lap length is required to be >300mm. If the wave shape of PC wave plate is inconsistent with that of color steel plate, the lap length shall be >500mm

4、 Fixed

1. The diameter of the fixed nail head shall be more than 1.5 times larger than the diameter of the screw handle, and waterproof glue shall be applied. Do not press the nail head directly on the plate surface to reduce the pressure.

2. The upper screw shall not be too tight, otherwise it may cause stress and local cracks on the plate surface.

3. The waterproof adhesive shall not be PVC rubber pad or asphalt waterproof adhesive cloth; The sealant shall be neutral glass sealant, and acid sealant shall not be used.

4. During the installation process, do not fix the two ends first and then the middle. Fix one end first and construct along the same direction, otherwise the Middle stress will be concentrated and the product will be deformed or cracked.

5. Since the linear expansion coefficient of the PC board is about 6 times larger than that of the metal material, it is necessary to drill holes on the PC board before fixing it with self tapping screws, and the self tapping screws must be inserted in the middle of the hole diameter, otherwise the PC board around the self tapping screws will have cracks or shrinkage deformation due to displacement and insufficient reservation during thermal expansion and cold contraction.

6. Calculation of reserved expansion space; Expansion value = linear expansion coefficient × length × Temperature change value linear expansion coefficient of PC board =7 × 10-5mm/mm/ ℃ for example, for a 1000mm long PC board, if the temperature difference between day and night is 30 ℃, the reserved expansion space should be at least 2.1mm. For example, use Φ 5mm self tapping screw, then the diameter of PC wave plate drilling hole is >2.1mm+5mm=7.1mm.

7. If a layer of PC flat plate or color light tile is added under the PC wave plate, a metal strip must be added at the fixed position of the lower PC plate, otherwise the PC plate will sag due to the self weight of the PC plate, resulting in cracks on the PC flat plate around the screws.

5、 Cleaning

Generally, dust and dirt on the surface of PC wave plate shall be wiped with soft cloth or sponge dipped with neutral detergent, and then washed with clean water.
